Wee People Gallery

Did you know that Kinder means Children and Garten means Garden? Friedrich Froebel, the man who started the first Kindergarten, said that “Children are like tiny flowers; they are varied and need care, but each is beautiful alone and glorious when seen in the community of peers.” At the Learning Garden, we grow flower and vegetable gardens, and as we must nurture these gardens, we also nurture the children, lovingly supporting them to help them flourish!

This picture looks messy, and to be honest, there are LOTS of messes made every day here! We do keep busy and make messes! We also learn to clean them up! We learn by using our imaginations and by doing many different types of puzzles, arts, crafts, and games. This year the children are learning to play chess and checkers.

There is nothing quite like relaxing and reading with friends!
